Accidents may be caused due to slippery floors, spillage, worn out floor coverings, obstructions etc. The owners or occupiers of these premises have a duty to keep their premises in a safe condition. If they are negligent in keeping them safe they may be liable for a claim against them. Local Authorities are responsible for Playgrounds and Local Authority Sport Centres. The most common incident is slipping on Wet Surfaces in these premises. A claim is normally lodged against the Local Authorities in case of an injury.
